I’m the creator and founder of The Venus Collective. 

A little bit about me… Currently I’m a professional photographer, and I’ve had my photography business for over 20 years here in Boulder. 

Before that, I worked for 10 years in Finance and Investment Banking in cities like New York and London.

I have an amazing 10 year old daughter, and I’m a single mom. 

Like all of us, I’ve had some incredible life experiences.

I’ve ridden horseback on the beach in the Camargue, a delta on the Mediterranean in the South of France, following a French cowboy.

I’ve photographed on assignment for the New York Times leading to a full page spread in The Sunday print edition… twice!

And I planned a girls trip for my 50th birthday to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Picture 7 women road tripping in a mini van!

I love adventures, I love challenging myself, and I love authentic connection.

These are the foundations of The Venus Collective. 

When I created The Venus Collective, I wanted it to be unique, fun, adventurous, connected, authentic, beautiful, and expansive. I wanted a space to learn and grow together with other amazing women while having a blast doing it.

But why?

Think about this. The lives we’re living now are not our mother’s lives! The paths that we’ve been following are barely trodden and often obscured. Women just haven’t lived the way we live for very long.

We’ve had to learn to trust ourselves in making big life decisions without a lot of female mentors to look to. We’re often the first woman here or the only woman there. On top of that, we’re still the glue in the lives of our family and friends, taking care of kids, parents, friends, volunteering in our communities, and taking care of our homes.

In short, we’re freaking badasses! But we have questions. We have problems to solve. Choices to make. Paths to figure out. And, if you’re like me, you make a lot of mistakes. 

Women intuitively know that coming together with like minded badasses is the way forward. 

We may not have a lot of mentors. We may not have a lot of well-trodden paths to follow. But we have each other.

The Venus Collective recognizes that amazing women are always looking to grow and learn. How can we improve our physical wellbeing, our relationships, our mindset, our wealth, and how can we experience more joy?

All of these aspects of ourselves are important. And tonight I want you to bring all of you. 

I want you to talk about your work. And connect with each other. And gain new insights. And expand your potential. And try something new. And eat well. And laugh.

By creating a space that invites all parts of you, you get to take up space. You get to ask the questions, and give advice. We’re all leaders, and we’re all figuring it out together.

And together, we get to trod those paths and write the next chapter for women.

The Venus Collective produces Curated Events for Women including Evening Events, Weekday Meetups, and Weekend Sojourns (retreats).
